This course is designed for photographers who would like to learn basic editing techniques to help them enhance their images. Learn how to navigate the Photoshop workspace, understand the fundamental editing commands and tools, how to crop, resize and sharpen your images, how to apply changes to specific areas of your images and more!

Participants must bring their own laptop with Photoshop software installed (CS4 or later), plus a mouse and power cable. The course is taught on a Mac but a list of p.c. compatible commands can be provided.

11 hours of tuition over two days, plus breaks for lunch. Tuition is in English.
Beginner level.

• Navigation of the Photoshop workspace - toolbars and palettes
• File types
• Image rotating, cropping and resizing
• Canvas resizing and adding photo borders
• Use of retouching tools, including removal of unwanted items or dirt from your image
• Simple image adjustments such as contrast, brightness, saturation
• Making selections and applying adjustments to specific areas of your image
• Colour correction
• Using levels
• Introduction to use of layers
